“Teachers as Agents of Change: Supporting, Enabling, and Empowering” KIX webinar will be held

The KIX webinar "Teachers as Agents of Change: Supporting, Enabling, and Empowering" KIX webinar will be held on February 24, 2021.

The sixth KIX (Knowledge Sharing and Innovation) EAP (Europe | Asia | Pacific) Webinar will highlight the theme "Teachers as Agents of Change: Supporting, Enabling, and Empowering". The webinar is organized by NORRAG in partnership with the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education, the HertsCam Network, the CairoCam Network, "Teacher Leadership in Kazakhstan", the School for All Educational Foundation, the Soros Foundation in Kazakhstan, and the ProDidactica Educational Center in Moldova.

This webinar focuses on the innovative international movement to support teachers as agents of change and is the result of a multi-partner collaboration within the International Teacher Leadership (ITL) initiative, organized in 2008 to support for non-positional teacher leadership and create support programs that allowing and empower teachers to lead changes at their schools. The underlying philosophy, together with practical tools and strategies, has been developed in the UK over the years by David Frost in close collaboration with teachers and school principals in the HertsCam network. The overall objective is to support, to provide opportunities and to expand the teachers' authority, so they can express their views, participate in making decisions and strengthen their capacity for action.

In this webinar, we intend to learn more about the above and participate with all participants in the discussion of the possibility of supporting non-positional teacher leadership to transform professional cultures in education systems around the world. We also hope to learn from participants about similar experiences in their countries.
