Mario Novelli is Professor in the Political Economy of Education at the Centre for International Education, University of Sussex. He is interested in issues related to the relationship between education/conflict/war and peace and is currently working on research related to the Political Economy of Education in Conflict Contexts and Learning and Knowledge Production in Radical Social Movements in the Global South. Mario is Co-Editor in Chief of the journal of Globalisation, Education & Societies. He has published widely and is the co-author of the book Global Education Policy and International Development: New Agendas, Issues and Policies (2018). He is currently working on a book Education, Conflict, War and Peace: From Pacification to Social Transformation that draws together two decades of research in this area.
