NUGSE authors’ collective monograph “Introduction to Educational Research: Theory, Methods, and Practices” has been published

A new book “Introduction to Educational Research: Theory, Methods and Practices” has been published. This is a collective monograph authored by NUGSE employees, former employees, and alumni – Aida Sagintayeva, Assel Kambatyrova, Laura Karabassova, Gulmira Kanay, and Ainur Almukhambetova.

The monograph “Introduction to Educational Research: Theory, Methods, and Practices” has been published in Kazakh and Russian. It will be useful both for undergraduates and doctoral students, and for school and college teachers interested in conducting research. Books on educational research methodology are written mostly by Western scholars. Therefore, it will be a good help in learning the material for those who do not speak English.

Its another peculiarity lies in the fact that the authors have maintained a balance between theory and practice. The book contains examples of research conducted and published by Kazakh and international scientists.

Earlier, the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education published other works of significance for education. They include the monograph “Development of Educational Programs: Local Responses to Global Challenges of Higher Education”, the guidance manual “Development of the Syllabus: From Syllabus Quality to Quality of Learning”, “Ethical Code of Education Researchers of Kazakhstan”. The Code of Ethics has been developed jointly with KERA, the Kazakhstan Educational Research Association.

The monograph “Introduction to Educational Research: Theory, Methods, and Practices” and previous writings are available on the website of NU GSE.
