On March 1, at 4:00 p.m., the monograph "Curriculum Design: Local responses to global challenges of higher education" will be presented. The purpose of the monograph is to design methodological and methodological bases for the development of educational programs in the terms of university autonomy under the experience of Nazarbayev University. Based on the philosophy, theory and practice of higher education, the monograph offers practical help in mastering the algorithms of design, structure, form and content of the educational program. 

For all those, who involved in the designing, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs, the monograph provides a useful overview and checklist of important themes that can help in the work. The proposed thematic content is based on the participation of the authors in the process of developing educational programs at Nazarbayev University and universities in other countries. Authors of the monograph: Aida Sagintayeva, Aizhan Musina, Aliya Suleimenova, Ruslan Karatabanov, Kairat Kurakbayev, Duncan Priestley. 

The participants of the presentation will be able to communicate directly with the monograph authors, ask questions, and hear their opinions on key aspects of quality management of educational programs. The publication of the monograph is a unique event, since it is the first on this theme in Kazakhstan, and especially relevant in the context of the competitiveness of higher education in Kazakhstan and the training of high-quality specialists.
