NUGSE Staff Honored with State Awards on the Eve of Kazakhstan’s Independence Day

On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, two staff members of the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education (NUGSE) were awarded state honors.

On behalf of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the President of Nazarbayev University, Professor Waqar Ahmad, presented the Badge "For Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan" to Professor Anas Hajar.

Professor Anas Hajar is one of the most published scholars at NUGSE and is ranked among the top 2% of the most cited education researchers worldwide, as well as the top 1% of the most cited education scholars in Kazakhstan.

In addition, President Waqar Ahmad presented a Certificate of Honor to Gulzhanat Tlegenova, Administrative Director of NUGSE, for her significant contribution to the development of higher education and science in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as for her dedicated service and conscientious work in support of progress.
