On August 19, 2024, a landmark event for the scientific communities of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan took place — the international webinar of the “University Bridge” project.
Organized by Nazarbayev University, Graduate School of Education, this initiative brought together young researchers from both countries, marking a new chapter in its history by connecting more than 1,000 researchers since 2020. For the first time, a dialogue of this magnitude crossed national borders, establishing an international platform to discuss one of the most critical topics in modern science — research ethics.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the webinar speakers — doctoral candidates from the Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University and Asian International University:
-Oibek Murodov (AIU): Managing Data in Research
-Botagoz Ispambetova (NUGSE): Ethics in Research with Human Subjects
-Zarnigor Djalilova (AIU): Ethical application of GenAI
-Kanat Baikenov (NUGSE): Research Ethics: Case of One Study
-Akmaral Karabay (NUGSE): Integrity in Academic Research: Understanding and Preventing Falsification, Fabrication, and Plagiarism
-Dildora Murodova (AIU): Effective Mentorship
This event highlighted the importance of international cooperation in the scientific field and demonstrated high standards of research ethics. We are confident that such initiatives will contribute to the further development and strengthening of scientific ties between our countries.
