Since its establishment Graduate School of Education actively creates a pool of highly qualified analysts, experts and managers in education who can analyze and shape educational policies, develop and implement innovative educational projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan. For this purpose the Department of continuing education, development projects at Graduate School of Education in collaboration with partners from the UK and the United States is developing and conducting various training programs.
Professional Development Programs of GSE provide an opportunity to update knowledge and improve professional skills of school teachers and university faculty, heads of educational institutions, specialists of the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as Advisory Board members of universities in Kazakhstan.
The Leadership Foundation was established in 2004 to help meet the leadership development needs of the UK’s Higher Education sector.Its members are Universities UK and Guild HE and it is governed by a Board comprising HE sector leaders and external members.
It has developed its international activities significantly since 2007 and now has experience of working in or with over 30 countries. It undertakes scoping activities and runs major leadership and partnership development programmes for senior academic leaders and ministry officials. It has conducted major projects to develop capacity among university leaders in a way that supported the implementation of national higher education strategies.
The Leadership Foundation is a central part of the UK Higher Education sector. It develops capacity for leadership, governance and management, both for individuals and for groups, through innovation, information, intervention, and interaction (programmes and projects), nationally and internationally.
