Deborah Brown is an Instructor in the Graduate School of Education. She received her M.ED. Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from The College of New Jersey, USA, and has a Specialist Certification in Teaching and Leadership in TESOL from the Ministry of Education, Ontario, Canada.
During her career, Deborah has been involved at the kindergarten, primary, elementary, secondary and tertiary levels. Her various roles in education include teaching, training, consulting, coaching, leading and directing. Deborah’s training in conflict resolution and mediation has served her well in every position she has held. She has a particular interest in professional development for educators.
Deborah’s career as an international educator spans four countries. She was founding Head of Education, Higher Colleges of Technology Fujairah, United Arab Emirates for ten years. Prior to that, she worked with students and teachers in Tarsus, Turkey and in St. Lucia, West Indies. She also held academic and administrative posts at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia.
