Aslan Sarinzhipov is an Associate Professor of Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education. Aslan Sarinzipov is an International Economist, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Ed.D in Higher Education Management, University of Pennsylvania (USA).
He graduated from Kazakh State Economic University, University of Oklahoma (USA), Diplomatic Academy of Vienna (Austria). Internship at Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.
In 1996 began his career as administrative assistant of the Executive Committee of Interstate Council for Central Asia.
In 1997 joined Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 1998-2002 served as the Diplomatic Attaché on Economic issues of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the United States (Washington, D.C.).
In 2002-2007 – World Bank project coordinator for Central Asia in the sphere of infrastructure, financial markets and education, partook in the development of the State Program of Education Development in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2007-2009 – served as the Deputy Chairman of JSC “National Analytical Centre under the Government and National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, supervised the issues of economic development, finance, and education.
From 2009 to 2013 - Chairman of the Executive Council of the Autonomous education organization “Nazarbayev University”. Associate Professor of Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education.
Member of the Board of Trustees of the AEO "Nazarbayev University" since its foundation.
Awarded the Order of “Kurmet” (2012)
September 2, 2013 – appointed as the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
