Aisi Li, Assistant Professor

Dr. Aisi Li is an Assistant Professor of Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education. Aisi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Sichuan University, China. She then studied MSc in Comparative and International Education at the University of Oxford. She received her DPhil in Educational Studies from the University of Oxford in 2012. Her doctoral thesis investigated Sino-foreign higher education partnerships from a historical perspective. She has extensive research and professional experience in education, business, and media, including working as Data Controller at Education Data Surveys in Oxford and London, writing for a number of Chinese-language media, and consulting for several projects in Hong Kong universities. Her research takes a comparative and international perspective on:  educational policy borrowing, internationalization of higher education, and education in digital society.
