Alfred Burns is an Instructor in the Graduate School of Education. He is involved in designing and teaching M.Sc. Academic English programs for online students as well as carrying out intensive, practice-based learning instruction and workshops for educators.
He received his M.Ed. in Administration for International and Overseas Schools from The College of New Jersey, USA, and has a Specialist Certification in Teaching and Leadership in ESL from the Ministry of Education, Ontario, Canada. His career has spanned many years and has included instruction, management and training assignments in several countries including Turkey, UAE, St. Lucia and currently Kazakhstan. He has taught at all educational levels from primary and secondary to college and university.
It is important to Alfred that since he has travelled the long and winding road of learning, he now pass on his experiences. He has a particular interest in teacher training in international institutions that are working to make changes and drive reform in the field of education.
